Research Focus:

Autoantibodies targeting cardiac ion channels have been discovered in patients and were found to be involved in the pathogenesis of cardiac arrhythmias. In this context, the primary goal of my group is to identify novel proarrhythmogenic autoantibodies in patients. As the underlying mechanism of antibody-mediated arrhythmia is poorly understood, the research aims to study the effects of antibodies on the electrophysiology of the heart, holding promise for novel therapeutic approaches.
